I just had to get outside into the orchard....
Spring is here! It brings energizing light and growth. The warm sun and the blue sky prod me out of my cocooning dormancy and beckon me outdoors. Just like the upsurge of sap rising from the xylem of a tree, waking up branches and twigs, I feel a surge of energy coursing through my body and lifting my spirit. It truly is a time of renewal and rebirth. There is a quality of spaciousness in the spring, which allows a natural expansion and our body breathes in the essence of growth and new life. My indoor winter chores are not complete, yet I could not hold myself back this past weekend.
I just had to get outside into the orchard....

Stressed and can't stop feeling anxious? You just want relief. Anxiety and stress are the most common ailments I see in clients. We all get stressed; anxiety is a normal part of life until it isn’t. Normal anxiety is helpful when facing an intense situation. It gets you moving, it increases blood flow to your brain, helps you concentrate and focus your attention. When it interferes with your life, it becomes a problem. We have all experienced life situations that induce prolonged anxiety. Relationship problems, financial or health issues, worrying about the future and traumas are some of the culprits. Yet, before tackling the underlying cause of our anxiety and stress what we need in the moment is relief. Thankfully, relief is possible... You already have the ability to enjoy emotional freedom. You are capable of being centered, of experiencing pleasurable feelings, of opening your energy centers and living with an open heart. The knowledge of the incredible power of your emotions and how your emotions connect you to source is available. True understanding of our emotions and emotional skills were not taught in school nor were they taught in most families. We have been living with a simplistic and often negative view of the emotions. This lack of understanding of the true nature of the emotions has caused us to contract, live in fear, have stress, negativity, depression, conflict, difficult relationships etc. and to be stuck in the survival mode of the first three lower chakras. We have lived long enough in this dense consciousness and have reached a point where many are Ready to Connect with the Heart.... The Heartfulness Path is the epic adventure of listening to the voice of your inner guidance while falling in love with your true essence and remembering that You Are Love The next frontier is developing a deep abiding love for your emotional body. It changes your relationship to everything. You no longer feel powerless and begin to feel safe in the world. When you understand the purpose of the emotions, you are no longer at the mercy of them or in resistance to them. You develop a relationship of cooperation and the inner conflict melts away. Past traumas are transformed into wisdom, compassion and discernment. It changes how you view yourself in relationship to others and the meaning of unconditional love. The foundation of this practice is the knowing that ALL of your emotions are purposeful and contain powerful messages and meaning. The emotions are the language of our body and through which our soul speaks. The practice of befriending your emotions deepens your relationship with the wisdom of your body connecting you to source energy and internal guidance. It is a process of learning to engage with, welcome and nurture your feelings, which are the energy and sensations of emotions, and realize the beautiful treasure of guidance and inspiration that they hold. Feeling allows you to connect to the language of your soul, to knowing your needs, to trusting yourself, to being able to follow your purpose, to seeing that you are an integral part of divine unity and in doing so you are in touch with your authentic self..... It is rare to see a white sky in Colorado Today is one of those days So quiet….so soft So wet…..so dreamlike My head is submerged under an ocean of thick cream How can soft cotton feel so heavy Drowsy…. When a Grand Trine in Water paired with a Grand Trine in Earth, a bold configuration was formed called “The ‘Grand Sextile’ of July 29, 2013″. Within these stellar geometries, concentrated energies of purification called all of humanity to release any vestiges of fear of the divine feminine so that we can fully inhabit all of our being. Much has been and will be written about this illustrious astronomical configuration and all of the wonders it heralds for our time.... While the world of humans concerns itself with politics, business, war, tragedy, sports and celebrity gossip, nature flourishes. This morning while sipping my morning chai, my cat and I gaze out into the backyard and quietly observe birds of every kind diving from tree to tree plucking berries and seeds from the trees and shrubs. A charm of house finches flit between the Autumn purple ash, pyracantha shrub and one finch couple’s birdhouse. Slight movements by one and all of them take off in a sweeping fan momentarily landing on a new perch until one of them jumps onto a branch of a mate and teases it. A game of tag ensues and the whole tree is in motion with flight. In between their raucous play, they happily eat the plump pyracantha berries. These berries are known to give birds a buzz. Looks as though it has a bigger kick than my chai! Gilded flicker woodpeckers are more sedately concentrating on collecting fallen elderberries while a nearby gray dove does the same. The blue jays must be on the same wavelength as the finches for they are chasing one another between snatching berries from the hawthorn, elderberry and pyracantha. Why limit your diet? It is a veritable feast out there as plants distill their final burst of energy into pushing out as much progeny in the form of seeds as possible. There is more than enough for all and every species is partying together and sharing a good time. Perhaps a lesson for us humans. "A lamb, really, a lamb, that's my ego?" This thought washes over me as the image of a fluffy lamb appears beneath my closed eyes when the dream instructor asks, "What is the image of your ego?" Annoyed, I proceed with her next directive, which is to talk to my ego and tell it something. Inwardly, I exclaim, "Would you be more strong and assertive?" Immediately, the now spunky lamb jumps in the air, clicks its black hooves together and lands firmly with a determined look. I cannot help but laugh and my heart softens, "Yes, you are stronger than you appear." As other dream participants talk about their wild monstrous ego images, I feel grateful that I do not have to work at Taming my Lamb.... An Opening It looks to me as though the 'Chaos state' that we have been experiencing within us and within our culture is giving way to the 'centrifugal' part of the process. All of the structural patterns are mixed up, thrown in the air and are now becoming untangled. The stuff that needs to drop out is being expelled. Sometimes, it feels good when it leaves and other times it feels like an explosion. Some of what remains is still in chaos without any clear pattern and yet some parts are now free and hanging in mid-air. It feels freer. Using Scott Peck's model of four stages of community formation, the second stage of chaos moves into the third stage, emptiness. The parts of us that are hanging in the emptiness are the ones, which bring those big 'Ah Hah' insights and revelations. We see more of who we are. Even though there is still more to sort out and untangle, there is a feeling of the emptiness and a feeling of relief. We are getting there. Within it all is the anticipation for the strands to reconfigure into new patterns that serve humanity and us. The new model emerging is one of allowance in a way we have not experienced before for ourselves and for others. It brings us into the rhythm of cycles and Peck's fourth stage of community formation, Communion and Unity..... |
